How TileMyPattern Works
From a giant copyshop PDF to perfectly calibrated pages you can print at home — in under a minute, entirely in your browser.
Four steps, start to finish
Upload your pattern PDF
Drag and drop or click to upload your A0 or copyshop-format sewing pattern PDF. It's read directly in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
Preview your pattern
See your pattern rendered on screen so you can confirm it's the right file before generating anything.
Choose your paper size
Pick A4, US Letter, Legal, or A3 — whichever your printer takes. Your choice is remembered next time you visit.
Download your tiled PDF
Get back a ready-to-print file with a built-in calibration test square, numbered tiles, overlap guides, and a page map showing exactly how everything fits together.
The one setting that matters most: print at 100%
Printers default to shrinking pages that don't quite fit the paper, which can throw off a pattern's true measurements with no obvious sign it happened. Every PDF TileMyPattern generates includes a labeled test square for exactly this reason — but the square only works if your printer is actually set to print at true size.
⚠️ Before you print: set your printer to 100%
- Adobe Acrobat / Reader: Page Sizing & Handling → choose 'Actual size'
- Google Chrome: More settings → Scale → 'Custom' → 100
- Mac Preview: select 'Scale:' → 100% (not 'Scale to Fit')
- Windows / other: look for 'Actual Size', '100%', or 'Do not scale' — never 'Fit to page'
Then measure the test square with a ruler before printing the rest of the pattern. For the full walkthrough, see how to print at the correct scale.
Your pattern never leaves your device
TileMyPattern runs entirely in your browser. There's no server upload, no account, and no third-party API involved in processing your file — the same privacy principle that protects any paid pattern you've bought. If you're converting a large-format file for the first time, see how to convert an A0 pattern to A4.
