TileMyPattern is built around a simple rule: your pattern files never leave your device. This page explains exactly what that means, and what little data is involved in running this site at all.
Your pattern files
When you upload a PDF sewing pattern to the tiler, it is read and processed entirely in your web browser using client-side JavaScript. It is never uploaded, transmitted, or sent to any server — not ours, not a third party's. We have no way to see, access, or store the contents of any pattern you use with this tool.
Local storage
TileMyPattern remembers your last-used paper size and overlap settings using your browser's local storage, so you don't have to re-select them on your next visit. This information stays on your own device — it is not transmitted to us or to any third party, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for tilemypattern.com.
Cookies and advertising
This site may display advertising served through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for interest-based advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
Analytics
We may use privacy-conscious analytics tools to understand aggregate site usage — for example, which pages are visited and how many people use the tiler — so we can improve the site. These tools are configured to avoid collecting personally identifying information about individual visitors.
Server logs
Like virtually all websites, TileMyPattern is hosted on infrastructure (Vercel) that automatically logs standard technical information for security and reliability purposes, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested. This is separate from, and unrelated to, the pattern files you process using the tool, which are never sent to any server at all.
Children's privacy
TileMyPattern is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Because TileMyPattern doesn't use accounts and doesn't collect or store your pattern files, there is very little personal data associated with your use of this site. Where applicable data protection law gives you rights over the limited data described above (such as analytics or advertising cookies), you can exercise choices over that data using the opt-out links in the Cookies and Advertising section, or by contacting us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it occasionally if you have concerns about how this site handles data.
